Michel Potvin became President of Bourns’ Sensors Division in March 2023. He joined Bourns in April 2022, as Senior Vice President of the Transportation business segment. He is responsible for global strategies of the sensors business to further growth, accelerate product innovation, improve financial results, maintain Bourns’ competitiveness and capitalize on the transportation electrification megatrend.Before joining Bourns, Michel served as President of Leach International Corporation, a designer and manufacturer of high-reliable power switching and control equipment for aerospace, ground vehicles, rail, and high-end industrial applications worldwide. He also previously led the Esterline Avionics Systems business group as President, which included CMC Electronics, ScioTeq displays, as well as Treality Visual Systems. Michel also served as Vice President, Performance Improvement of Invensys Process Systems, now a part of Schneider Electric.Michel has a proven executive management record of accomplishment and over 25 years of experience driving profitable sales growth in technology sectors. He successfully held various senior executive positions in the United States, Canada and Europe, including global strategy, marketing, program management and engineering.Michel graduated from the University of Quebec in Trois-Rivières with an industrial engineering degree, followed by graduate-level studies in project management and an executive management program at the Queen’s University School of Business in Ontario.
