I observe courtroom procedures and discuss with the judges around issues with the cases as well as court etiquette. One of my responsibilities is to complete assignments and tasks delegated to me by the Judge such as legal research and editing PowerPoint presentation regarding deterrence programs.

Researching the impact of Florida Statute 1011.62 that provides Advanced Placement teachers $50 for each of their students that passes the end of course exam. I conducted preliminary research in my senior year of high school that established a strong correlation between the incentive program and lower score quality. I am continuing the research into college to expand the research's reach and scope to achieve the ultimate goal of publishing and writing a book.
