About Michelle Flynn

As I reflect on my career journey, my strategic mindset has been a key contributor to my success in both my corporate and volunteer roles. An opportunity that was presented to me in 2016 is one of my best examples – the American Marketing Association invited me to participate in a four-year executive track. I served as VP Membership, President-Elect, President, and Past President of the Toronto chapter. While serving as president, I collaborated with board members to develop and execute the chapter’s strategy. I also led a team of 90 volunteers. This enlightening experience shaped my entire career – how I relate to people, solve problems, and encourage others to grow and succeed. Now, I am a senior manager on the product and delivery team for Deloitte Digital. Each day, I take a strategic approach to my role. I work closely with executive teams and decision-makers to fully understand the opportunities and challenges our clients are facing. After the need is defined and scoped, I help manage the project teams who design and develop the digital products which are brought to market. Prior to joining Deloitte Digital, I enjoyed helping founders of growing organizations set up strong operations to support their success. As their right hand, my role included setting up sales, finance, HR, and other key operational systems. I also had the opportunity to leverage my marketing experience to help them build an engaging and memorable brand story. I worked for incredible leaders who helped me understand the importance of strategy and how to use a strategic mindset to help clients achieve their goals. The most unique aspect of my career story is that I started my career working as a chief stewardess and head of service for Private Mega yachts. I was fortunate to explore fascinating and beautiful destinations in the United States, the Caribbean, and Europe at a young age which helped shape who I am today.
