Within the office of Hemlock Group, I am being held responsible as first line contact for managing shopfits to completion and guarding of concept for various larger retailers in Europe. Our clients are major players in retail regarding turn around, economical growth, square meters, as well as number of stores. My work involves managing project teams and guarding of concept.Besides the above, my tasks and responsibilities involve:- First line contact between Hemlock office and clients- Reporting directly to board of directors- Managing internal project teams through project leaders- Advisor & inspirator for calculation, engineering, production, shop fit & logistics- Fully responsible for project budget, timeline and scope of several larger projects- Delivering Turn-Key shopfits, as well as Refits and Rebrandings, from start to completion- Coordination of contractors (installation crew, E, W, flooring, ceiling)- Coordination design department (for layouts, elevations, lighting plans, etc)- Coordination of after sales activities, snagging and achieving the highest possible client satisfaction

Within the Store Development department of the Selfridges Group-owned de Bijenkorf, I am being held responsible for the development of smaller projects and brandshop implementations within all de Bijenkorf stores. In close cooperations with Store Design, my top priority is getting projects done within time, money and scope. Getting third party brandshop proposals approved within the 'de Bijenkorf Premium Experience' set of guidelines is a very rewarding job. Besides the above, my tasks and responsibilities included:- Managing external teams (to complete projects within time, money and scope)- First line contact (in relation to the brandshops, internally/externally)- Coordination and direction (external suppliers, internal PM on-site, store and floor managers)- Communication and reconciliation (with Buying, Design, Marketing, and Boardmembers)- Reporting to the manager (with regard to current projects)- Budget control (design, orders, planning, suppliers, hand over and Quality Control)- Guidance of installation (directing suppliers, shop fitters, project manager on-site)- Guarding the look-and-feel of de Bijenkorf standard (regarding interior projects and brandshops)Amongst many others, one of the accomplishments I take pride in, is the renewal of 16 separate brandshops in the kids department at the Amsterdam store. I was the prime contact for all internal and external parties communication including design, buying, store, contractors, shop fitters, electricians, etc.Within a years time, I have coordinated more then 75 brand shop installations in the various de Bijenkorf stores from beginning to end. All these shops now meet the premium experience, set by de Bijenkorf's new standard. The process involved getting the designs up to this high-end level through direct communication with the brands. I communicated all necessary information between the various parties and delivered projects to satisfaction by Store, Brand, Visual and other parties involved.

I was held responsible for operational client contact and project management tasks like budget and planning within various custom made retailprojects in the Netherlands, France, Germany and UK. My tasks and responsibilities mostly consist of the following: - Contact with clients (investigating clients wishes, satisfying client)- Calculating (making budgetsheets, cost variation, pricing for quotations)- Quoting (making quotations, adapting, presenting to client, negotiating)- Planning (setup, monitoring progress, milestones, leadtimes, instructing third parties)- Presenting (project meetings with client, presenting Artist Impressions)- Buying (request for quotation, buying in ERP-system (Exact)) - Tendering (guidance buildup tenders, understanding specs, reading technical drawings, detailling) - Design (instruction, guidance and evaluation design department)- Construction (instruction, guidance and evaluation construction department)- Production (instruction, guidance and evaluation production department)- Cooperating (guidance and support third parties, handling floormanagers)- Delivery (client contact, deliver documents with signature) I have delivered various shop-in-shops for Samsung at MediaMarkt ArenA in A’dam and Corner in R’dam. Within these projects I guided production of the items from the first sketches, through production in the factory in Poland, up to the final delivery to the client on-site. Apart from delivering the Samsonite flagshipstore in Rivoli - Paris, I have delivered the Samsonite booth at IFA 2013 in Berlin, next to various shop-in-shops in UK and France. Producing and delivery of these projects was complex and brought up several challenges, which I successfully managed.With Hewlett Packard I worked at the redesign of the Experience Center at HP-headquarters in Amstelveen.

As part of the design engineering department I worked for clients like KPN, Livera and the recently reopened Stedelijk Museum. KPN trusted our department for many years with their design questions, engineering and technical detailing, production and rebuilding assignments. We build various Primafoons, Hi shops and Business Centers throughout the country. For Livera I was project lead and engineer concerning the rebuild of their 125 shop interiors. For the Stedelijk Museum I worked on the engineering of the 15 meter long 3D-curved concrete bar. Here I was responsible for the complete engineering and production of the 3D-curved CNC-parts. Besides the above, I was responsible for the design, engineering and production of various other retail interiors, displays, confection furniture and accessories. In this small studio I learned about design and styling from the pro's. I was thrown in the deep, and learned to swim very fast. This shows itself in logical, structured, clean designs and craftsmanship. Also, I was able to update my professional working proficiency English to a higher level.My responsibilities:- Shaping and designing various product, from filing cabinets to watches- Sketching ideas and concepts and setting up and leading a brainstorm- Making 3D-presentation models and presenting them to clientsI was responsible for the 'Titanium series' watches, available all over the world since 2004.
