Architectenweb is a leading cross media platform engaging architects and designers in the Netherlands via a website, events, awards, video's and podcasts. As editor-in-chief I head the editorial office responsible for our day-to-day news coverage, in different collaborations organize our events and host our podcast.In addition to my work as editor-in-chief I also head the R&D, Sales and Service teams at Architectenweb.At Architectenweb I’m involved in the organization of a range of events: from network events (symposia) via city trips to the yearly award ceremony. Every two years we also organize a weeklong trip for a group of forty leading Dutch architects and nine manufacturers. In 2015 we visited the Pearl River Delta, in 2017 we visited the major cities in Brazil, in 2019 we visited Japan and in 2022 we visited Canada.Key achievements:a. Transformation of Architectenweb as online and print publisher to full crossmedia platform ‒ from sending to dialogue, massively growing the engagement of the platform;b. Organization of dozens of events on current topics in the field of architecture, from modular housing in wood till keeping makers in the city. These events have between 150-300 attendants;c. Leading the design and development of the new website by Architectenweb ‒ working from the concept of creating an 'online magazine', applying cutting edge technologies and iterative working processes before and after launch at the beginning of 2017;d. Successfully launching the yearly Architectenweb Awards ‒ every year achieving more engagement in the field of architecture, but also outside of it on national radio and in regional and national newspapers;e. Setting up the Architectenweb Podcast ‒ creating relevant and personal background stories in a new medium for a fastly growing audience of architecture professionals;

As editor I was involved in the production of Architectenweb magazine. At the time the magazine was published under the name AWM and appeared eight times a year. For the magazine I wrote project reviews, took interviews and wrote background articles.

Together with Stephan Verkuijlen coached students on their P4 assignment to design a biobased and circular public building. The assignment was informed by the lectorate of Peter van Assche (Bureau SLA) at the academy.

Personal blog researching the application of iconography in contemporary architecture. The blog reached a following of thousands of readers from all over the world and became the precursor to the writing and publication of the book ‘Building as Ornament’.

Contributing editor of the liberal journal Driemaster; writing opinions and taking interviews with political heavyweights such as Gerrit Zalm, then Minister of Finance.

With a group of students we worked for a year on the student architecture magazine Pantheon//, published by the study association Stylos. I took a number of interviews and wrote background articles on a variety of topics.
