Having studied semiconductor nanotechnology at the department of Applied Physics at Delft University of Technology (at DIMES, the Delft Institute of Microsystems and Nanoelectronics), I joined European IP law firm V.O. in 1999. In that position I have gained wide experience in drafting and defending patent applications, patent opposition proceedings, patent litigation, IP counseling etc., in fields ranging from applied physics and mechanical engineering, food processing, sports technology, nuclear physics to information technology. Other activities have included membership of the committee of the Jonge Orde and a vice-precidency in a pension fund board. As board member c.q. treasurer of the Netherlands Institute of Patent Attorneys (2013-2021), I have been actively involved in the process of the 'updating' of the Dutch Patent Act.Interests/hobbies: violoncello (NSO1995), tennis, hockey, cycling, gardening&cooking, filming & video editing Personal data: married, 2 kids
