Dr. Michon Moon has over 20 years of experience in public program management. She is currently seeking new opportunities in the Washington, DC and/or Richmond, VA area.Her most recent professional experience includes work as the Director of Grants for the JXN Project, Grants Manager and System Administrator as well as EEO Officer and ADA Coordinator with the Office of Victim Services and Justice Grants within the Executive Office of the Mayor with the DC Government. Her prior experience includes work as Director of Victim-Witness Services with the City of Richmond's Office of the Commonwealth's Attorney, Compliance Policy Analyst with the Department of Police and Public Safety at Virginia State University, and Compliance Policy Analyst with the Richmond Police Department. She has also served as faculty at Virginia Commonwealth University and Strayer University where she provided adjunct instruction in criminal justice, public administration, and public policy.She holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Public Policy and Administration in Public Administration, Master of Public Administration in Public Administration, and Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the L. Douglas Wilder School of Government and Public Affair's Center for Public Policy at Virginia Commonwealth University. Her dissertation research examined criminal justice professionals' attitudes and responsiveness towards intimidated witnesses and street crimes on the local level. Her professional affiliations include past and/or present board memberships with the VA Criminal Sentencing Commission, Richmond Community Criminal Justice Board, DC Criminal Justice Coordinating Council, Richmond Association of Realtors DEI Committee, Central Virginia Victim Services Coalition, Partnership for People with Disabilities, Infant Mortality Review Board, Virginians Aligned Against Sexual Assault, Virginia Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence Action Alliance, Children's Advocacy Centers of Virginia, Virginia Network for Crime Victims, and National Association for Crime Victims and the Office for Victims of Crime.
