I was promoted once again at the end of 2005 to Office Sales Manager to have sole responsibility for the London Tele Centre with 6 Managers, 78 reps and a £3 million new business target. I was promoted and now responsible for 4 telesales managers and 48 reps with a £2.2 million new business target. I again achieved target by over £200k and this was more pleasing as I was running my own team and also coaching the other 3 managers that I had initially taken on as telesales reps and had promoted them in to the management position.

Recruited as a Telesales Manager responsible for 12 reps and a £750,000 new business target. In the first year, I became the first manager to hit and break the 1 million new business barrier. I repeated this feat in year two with virtually a brand new sales team. During my time running this team, I had 7 reps promoted to field sales and another 3 that became telesales managers.

This was a start up company that we grew and developed in to the leading Hairdressing Recruitment website in the UK. My role involved everything from picking up the phone and selling advertising to recruiting and training the sales staff. It was a fresh challenge everyday and I learned so much about business and the highs & lows of running a small company. I thoroughly enjoyed the role but an offer came for me to re-join Thomson Directories as a Telesales Manager and I felt I had some unfinished business so I left but I left the company in a great position and it is still growing today.

Selling advertising to new and existing clients on a face to face basis, working all over the South East and London. I was a target achieving rep that never missed a target but I was always interested in management and I enjoyed running the team when my manager was on holiday. I soon became Team Leader and was quickly promoted on to the management development course after 7 months. My team won the No1 field sales team in 2000 which at the time was the highest award that you could win. An opportunity came up and it really was a wrench to leave this role & company.
