I operated shuttle services on a rota that covered 24 hours 7 days a week, carrying passengers between major cities and international airports including Gatwick and Heathrow. In addition, I also operated the London to Brighton shuttle, which had the most diverse range of passengers which included commuters, holiday makers, flight crews, tourists and local people visiting family and friends who lived on the service's route.

I left Arriva in March 2004 to take a career break, knowing I would always obtain employment with my PCV licence.Although I suffered serious illness shortly after arriving in Benidorm, I stuck to my plan and refused to give up and return to the UK. After 5 weeks of recovery, I eventually found work as a bar tender. I also waited on tables as the restaurant bar served food all day. It was not ethical for me to continue at the new depot, due to the distance and lack of having my own transport to commute to and from work at the unsociable hours that made up my routine duties.
