I joined RECON, LLC in 2010 as a professional land surveyor and became a business partner in the company in 2017. With nearly 30 years working in the surveying profession, my experience encompasses control, construction, hydrographic, subdivision, and engineering support surveys.My work has involved surveying and project management with land and hydrographic surveyors, landscape architects, geophysicists, wetland biologists, archaeologists, GIS specialists, and engineers of all disciplines.Accomplishments include planning and implementing many large-scale GPS control networks and supporting many engineering projects throughout Alaska. One of the largest of these projects, which spanned 3,500 kilometers, involved leading a team of surveyors from two other companies.Engineering support has included route reconnaissance, topographic acquisition, boundary surveys, as-builts, as-staked, quantities, and construction staking of all types. Survey work has brought me to all the extremes of Alaska’s geography and climate. I enjoy the unique challenges found in each.Alaska Registered Professional Land Surveyor (No. 11794). BS in Surveying and Mapping from University of Alaska Anchorage in 1998.
