I planned, managed, and conducted economic surveys and censuses and analyzed and disseminated economic and demographic data. I designed and managed surveys sponsored by other Federal agencies, including the Department of Education, National Center for Education Statistics (NCES). An important part of my work was to contact survey respondents to encourage and assist them in reporting, either on paper or electronically. I designed and managed surveys sponsored by other Federal agencies, including the Department of Education, National Center for Education Statistics (NCES). An important part of my work was to contact survey respondents to encourage and assist them in reporting, either on paper or electronically. For the 2002 and 2007 Economic Censuses, I designed and managed the Census Account Manager Program, in which 150 professional analysts were assigned to follow the most important companies and assist them in reporting on the Economic Census. I received two Bronze Medals for these efforts, which significantly improved census response and reduced follow-up costs. Much of this effort involved training professional and clerical staff to contact thousands of businesses, answer their questions, and assist them in reporting on the census. I also developed and managed the 1998 and 2000 Survey of Employers (telephone surveys), sponsored by NCES. I monitored the contract of the University of Pennsylvania, to analyze the survey data. I served as Census Bureau Economic Programs Liaison to Congress for over two years. I also spent eleven years in the International Statistical Programs Center, managing the evaluation of USAID-funded development project impacts and providing training and technical assistance to developing-country counterparts. During the 2010 U.S. Decennial Census I served as a Regional Technician in the Los Angeles Region and Local Census Office Manager in El Cajon, where I managed over 1,000 employees. Show less
