Mick Hunter is a Police Inspector at Met police at Met police. Colleagues describe him as "Mick was my Inspector whilst on a response team in Brent. Mick was an exceptional leader and that made the team perform seamlessly and cohesively as a unit often being the top performing team on the borough. Despite his rank he thrived on getting stuck in and supported his team, and more importantly me, with such passion and drive and that made an often difficult role easier. It was an absolute pleasure serving under a man of such integrity and passion for people and he often took on the hard task of challenging decisions that had a negative impact on his staff and the team. My warmest thanks as it was due to Mick that my time on response was memorable and fun and this helped me achieve exceptional levels of policing and get several commendations. It wasn’t about working hard as I had to, the whole team wanted to and that made him an effective leader as he earned the respect rather than demanding it."
