• Synthesis, modification, characterization and processing of polymers for medical devices.• Conduct polymer and device testing.• Serve as internal consultant, usually through project team membership, on polymers and other materials related issues.• Train and supervise scientists, research associates, assistants, and technicians in synthetic techniques, testing procedures, injection and insert molding and extrusion operation.• Broad based knowledge of device testing and FDA testing, e.g. Class VI, Tripartite, etc.• Extensive knowledge of gamma radiation, E-Beam & EtO sterilization of polymer-based products. • Strong background in the theory and use, as well as hands on experience of thermal extruders, injection molding equipment and Instron testing.
