I have a passion for what’s right, the issues in Traffic Management and Civil’s is costing our Country and us as taxpayers more and more everyday. We all need to do our bit, we have to inject some enthusiasm back into the industries we profess to excel at. I have finally found something that l enjoy and love doing, albeit very late in life. I will not be bought, bribed, coerced or forced to change my mind when l have witnessed competency issues or serious compliance failings. I will advise those who seek advice and l will always attempt to help genuine people and guide them to competent training instructors. We have footways, footpaths and carriageways crumbling after multiple utilities have excavated for pennies in the pound with meter rates reducing dramatically over the past few years. Sub Contractors shaving prices till nothing was left. Then we have those same sub contractors noticing no supervisors and no Council Inspectors, that’s when the compliance issues probably started. There are many ways you can cut your costs in Civil’s!Then we have Traffic Management, what can l say other than it’s in a very bad place at the minute. It’s not whether you find compliance issues, it’s how many and can you find a site that hasn’t got any? I have successfully trained good staff to a very good level and l know it can be turned around but it will be hard for many reasons. I hope l can be part of it transformation back to a job that is respected by the public.
