Accountable for the delivery of all IT Security and IT Services within the Post Office. This covered the day to day leadership and direction of all IT Security and Services to c11,500 Post Office Branches (Largest end point Network in Europe), Post Office online systems, c4000 colleagues, and integration with c250 3rd party partners (e.g. UK Government, Banks, etc.).Achievements include:Drafting and implementing the IT Security, and IT Service Strategies for Post Office. This included gaining agreement with major stakeholders (Group Executive, Board members, major suppliers) on direction and investment to ensure services to a piece of the national infrastructure are protected and secure. Setting up an IT Security function from scratch, recruitment of an IT Security team and procuring an Advanced Security Operations Centre (ASOC) from an external 3rd party. This has significantly reduced the risk of Information security loss at the Post Office.Revamping the Target Operating Model for IT Services, which included remodelling the SIAM (Service Integration and Management) model and the implementation and exploitation of ServiceNow to digitise and improve end customer experience. This has resulted in greatly improved service availability, a 50% reduction in service incidents, and improvements in the end customer experience. Reducing IT operational costs by c£23m since September 2016. This has been achieved by replacing obsolete infrastructure, moving services towards Cloud service models (Azure/AWS), reducing service incidents, and remodelling the SIAM function. Improving Staff Engagement levels from 40% to 69%.
