The Babcock Station Manager is responsible the timely completion of all Maintenance and repair tasks.This is a total of approximatley 3500 tasks per month covering household and Industrial areas, such as SewagePlant, Waterworks, High and Low Voltage Electrical works and also Customer Service jobs in over 2000 properties across the estate. This is carried out by sixty three Babcock staff and a range of specialist contractors. The Babcock BSSG team support the British Forces in Germany.

• Planning and distribution of Daily work loads for Painter, Glaziers and carpenters• Analysis of Tradesmen’s work reports, work times and financial limits of tasks• Cost estimates for repairs and minor new works• Discipline and absence management of Tradesmen• Planning of Tradesmen Holidays• Inspection of tasks before, during and on completion • Writing Extra work reports• Running Target date monitoring reports and using said report to plan and analyse tasks• Responsible for the daily running of the workshops (H&S)• Checking all PPE and its use – i.e the correct use in the work place• Procurement of Materials• Choosing correct SOR’s for dockets• Providing technical support for helpdesk when required• Acted as first Point of Contact for any industrial or Road Traffic accidents• Gave Annual H&S Safety Briefings to Painters, Decorators, Glaziers, Bricklayers and Carpenters• MOT Trial – Building Inspections, Planning and execution of renovation in Married Quarters ( see MOT for further Details)• Acted as a temporary replacement for other absent D-Grades and also SWM Herr A.Schumacher.
