I worked as a Registered Nurse in the Vascular Surgery progressive care unit. This position included caring for patients who were recovering from vascular surgery because of peripheral vascular disease. I worked extensively with monitoring for complications from surgery, discharge planning, patient and family education, and coordinating care with the multidisciplinary team.
