City Of London (Main Office Base)

Performed the appropriate detailed data analysis then developed the required audit sampling SQL database and processing on behalf of the Moore Stephens Public Sector Group, the client being the European External Action Service (EU Commission). Solvency II business process mapping engagements at two separate Managing Agencies; main client liaison / lead analyst role using UML modelling software based on a back-end SQL database; included providing the required dashboard outputs from the SQL data generated as a result of the business process mapping carried out.Revised data warehouse implementation at a Managing Agent; main client liaison / lead analyst role involving taking this project from the initial requirements gathering through to the implementation and then into a subsequent phase incorporating additional requirements now identified; role has involved detailed SQL querying of source and data warehouse data in order to both confirm requirements as well as generate detailed reconciliations as part of user testing as and when required.

Warwick & Maidstone

Short term role which involved specifying, agreeing and developing the SQL scripts to be used for a number of reports required to be generated from the newly implemented data warehouse solution.

Maidstone / City Of London

Lead analyst within the Business Intelligence team set up during mid 2006 in order to provide data warehousing solutions for the Towergate Partnership.Lead role during the development and implementation of a central MI data warehouse for the Towergate Broking Division.Lead role during the development and implementation of a central customer data warehouse, which held the core data required for the CRM system that was being rolled out to the businesses within the Towergate Broking Division.Extensive experience in using SQL in order to fully investigate the data with regards to requirements confirmations, as well as generating reconciliations and investigating data issues as and when required.The data warehousing solutions involved development shared between the Towergate team and an external supplier in order to provide the best possible solutions to the Towergate Partnership.

Ensured the delivery of the regular reporting suite by the team on a timely basis.Ensured that the required sets of regulatory management information were delivered as specified, adhering to the appropriate deadlines.Managed the prioritisation and delivery of all management information requests received by the team, including all ad-hoc report requests as well as the known regular reporting.Ensured the team provided the required support to the data warehouse DBA, in order to complete the full implementation of the data warehouse.Planned and co-ordinated the work required by the team in order to ensure (on completion of the full implementation of the data warehouse) that all reports ran from the data warehouse.

Designed, prototyped, implemented and supported a number of MS Access / MS Excel functions for the Marine and Personal Lines & Property underwriting teams.Provided support during the key monthly, quarterly and annual reporting periods, which included the completion of various regulatory Lloyd's of London returns, as well as the necessary management information for the internal and external actuaries.Assisted in the reconciliation of the data migration as a result of the implementation of a new company-wide central processing system.

South East London

Assisted with the loading of telecommunications network data into an in-house MS Access database, used by the company for the maintenance and support of customer circuits, network capacity and trouble ticketing.Provided management information extracts, from the above database, in order to assist in the network capacity management process as well as customer circuits support and network data investigations.

Investigated and tested all MS Access databases, used within CBS, for millennium compliance.Assisted the Resource Centre with the centralisation of their employee data plus their budget modelling.

Chatham & City Of London

Trained in systems analysis, presentation skills, PL1 programming and database design. On successful completion of the graduate training programme, joined the systems development department that provided support to the business units that dealt with the financial affairs of Lloyd's Names.Gained experience of the full project life cycle, from initial requirements gathering through logical and technical design to implementations and production support.During July 1995, was hand picked to join a small project team which was formed to help support the work involved in the £3 billion Lloyd's Settlement Offer to Lloyd's Names.Played a key role during this exercise, principally involving financial modelling and the provision of management information to the Lloyd's Directorate required for the critical decision making processes.Collected, processed and analysed data from the Lloyd's Market as well as internal teams.Responsible for the compilation of explanatory financial statements that were provided to Lloyd's Names.Supported the handling of queries, by the various internal teams and external agents, which arose as a consequence of the financial statements and calculations.Provided detailed financial analyses and calculations used for the purpose of supporting all associated legal proceedings.Responsible for managing the team in the absence of the project manager.
