After completing my technical apprenticeship with Babcock & Wilcox in 1983 I was employed as a plant maintenance electrician leading to my promotion to Workshop Supervisor, Section Engineer, Electrical Proposals Engineer and Senior Plant Engineer. I have a wealth of experience in electrical, mechanical and lifting disciplines (LEEA team card holder). In my most recent role I was responsible for continuously advising and sourcing a suitable and diverse range of equipment used by the company and it's asset management. Being the company Technical Authority I was responsible for adherence to international standards, compilation and ensuring regular maintenance procedures are adhered to and providing technical assistance and support to our workshops, training centres and multiple construction sites.
