After starting his career as a qualified motor mechanic and working within the agriculture, mining and manufacturing industries for 29 years Mick launched his safety consultancy, Mackay Safety in 2004. The business quickly grew to employ a team of more than 45. Mackay Safety continues to provide expert safety advice to clients throughout Mackay, Queensland and Australia. Mick firmly holds the belief that safety forms the foundation for a successful and accountable business. When a business has a culture based on high safety standards and continual improvement you know that everyone is working with safety with this as their top priority. In 2009, and after seeing SME’s continue to struggle with safety compliance, Mick began developing 4PS Software. 4PS eliminates manual handling of importance compliance data, systems and process and assists in the managing of people, plant, process and procedure compliance in the mining, METS and construction industries. 4PS improves business outcomes and safety by reducing costs and the human errors that often plague compliance processes for SME’s.
