About Mick Styne

I've managed the Elections and Local Land Charges Team at Derby City Council between 2007.and June 2023. Privileged to have worked with so many fantastic colleagues both internal and external to the organisation. I hold the Certificate in Electoral Administration. I am actively involved in the East Midlands AEA as a branch officer. I held the role of Branch Chair for 4 years to December 2021. I am working with colleagues at Cabinet Office and Electoral Officers nationally as Expert Panel member and Business Change lead on implementation of The Elections Bill. A key part of this is implementation of Voter ID for May 2023.I lead Derby's successful mixed photo and paper Voter ID pilot model at the local Elections in 2019.
