Roles & Responsibilities• Work closely with COO, Group operations manager (cereals, snacks & milling) and Director of business strategy weekly to align with expectations on deliverables, opportunities, and risks.• Understanding strategic objectives; understood the goals of the organization and develop a clear vision of exactly how the Leeton & Darlington Point sites will achieve them. This also involved translating these goals into implications for the operation's performance, objectives, quality, speed, dependability, flexibility, and cost.• Planning and controlling: This involves deciding what the operations resources should be doing and making sure that it is getting done.• Improving the performance of operation; continually monitor and improve the overall performance of operation.• Improve the operational communication forum, systems, processes, and policies in support of organizations mission specifically, support better management reporting, information flow and management, business process and organizational planning.• Play a significant role in planning, including an initiative geared toward operational excellence.• Oversee overall financial management, planning, systems, and controls for the site.• Development of individual performance plans and reviews.• Payroll management, including tabulation of accrued employee benefits.• Organization of actual fiscal documents and board reports.• Coach management team.• Manage the site in accordance with Workplace Health and Safety compliance.• Create annual organizational budget and monitoring cash flow for the site including inventory.• Develop long-range forecasts and maintain long-range financial plans.• Monthly P&L report.• Manage high volume redundancy (Covid-19 driven)• End to end Co-ordination of yearly harvest requirements for internal/external grains.

My role as Group Engineering Manager was to execute the CAPEX outcomes of the cereal’s division of the Freedom Foods Group. I was responsible for the due diligence, ground up budget build, capex and business cases, execution, and hand over of all major capex projects. I worked closely with the 3 site General Managers, Group Operation Manager, Group Quality Manager, and all respective managers on each site to ensure that each capex delivered their requirements and expectations. This role required me to travel to Melbourne, Sydney and Darlington Point on a weekly basis and international travel when required.Although this role was prominently focused on CAPEX projects. I have also standardized the way we manage engineering and maintenance on all 3 sites. Things such as standardizing equipment’s and parts so that all three sites are alike and running the same Maintenance Management software (MEX) on each site.Notable achievements during this time:• Form part of the team responsible for the acquisition of 2 additional sites for Freedom Foods; Darlington Point Mill & Dandenong cereals plant.• High volume cereals coatings/oven system; $6 million dollar project at Dandenong.• Relocation of milling equipment to newly purchased Darlington Point Mill site from Stanbridge. $ 550k project.• Installation of 1,600 pallet racking spaces at Stanbridge.• Optical color sorter; $250k project at Darlington Point.• Standardization of plant equipment across the Dandenong & Stanbridge cereal plants.• Begin to support the UHT- beverage plants with line relocations and installations.

Responsible for all major & minor capital expenditure projects across the Leeton site. I was responsible & assist in the design, commission, installation, training in the handover of the below listed projects during this period. These projects were all delivered in time and in full of on-going support provided.1. High Speed cereals packing line; $2.5 million-dollar project.2. Automatic palletizing system; $1.2 million-dollar project.3. High speed muesli bar manufacturing line; $16 million dollar project. Notable achievements during this time:• Further honing of skills with the use of Microsoft software• Self-taught AutoCAD skills.• Risk& safety managements.• Project Management • Basic project budget building.

During my time, a maintenance manager I was personally responsible for the management of the maintenance team across the Darlington Point Milling Operations and the Stanbridge site. I managed a team of 4 Electricans,4 Fitters and 2 apprentices around a 24/7 operationsI was responsible for a ~ $1.5 million budget which remained in surplus during this time and notably developed a “fix first time “culture with a strong preventative maintenance focus.Notable achievements during this time:• Reduced dependance on external contractors for maintenance work.• Onboard 2 apprentices as part of succession planning. • Create a working daily platform for maintenance planning to include all other relevant cost centers to ensure planned maintenance was organized, functionally and deliverable.• Develop KPIs for staff members.• Support successful SQF food safety audit.

• Assist preventative maintenance planner with the implementation of the MEX system across Stanbridge site.• Carryout preventive & reactive maintenance.• Continuous improvement works on production lines to maximize efficiency.• Vendor training on equipment’s.• General electrical works.• Support training of apprentice.• Support training of production operators through “on the line” training and developing safe operating procedures.

Post the sale of Rockdale Beef Pty LTD to JBS Swift, my role was made redundant. I identified that in the local Leeton area that there was an opportunity to provide business with an alternative solution on automation contractors by offering full turnkey solutions on end-to-end projects. Maintech was formed in partnership with another electrician and was quickly identified by key business as first choice contractors due to the turnkey options. JBS Swift – Feed mill & Abattoirs, Freedom Foods, EDI Downer plus many other commercial & domestic clients trusted & depended on our services.Some of the highlights during this time included.• Multiple tradesmen deployed across shifts at both JBS Swift & Freedom Foods.to provide automation, preventative maintenace & breakdown maintenance support.• The complete re-wire and automation upgrade of bitumen plant in Narrandera for EDI Downer.• Freezer store Automation upgrade of conveyor system & end of line cartoning system at JBS swift abattoirs.• Telemetry upgrade for main dam pumps and water tanks for JBS Swift Feed mill.• Installation & commission of multiple production lines at Freedom Foods. This included:o Bar manufacturing line.o Cereals batching roomo Extrusion / coatings lineo Cereal packing lines.• Wiring & commissioning of 25 Hotondo homes across Leeton & Narrandera.• Berembed Weir gate motors & actuator upgrades for State WaterA personal decision was made to exit the business in early 2012 and take up opportunities at Freedom Foods.
