He also converted news scripts from stories that aired on TV into editorial pieces for their website MyNews3.com.In addition, he helped spearhead KSNV's newly developed military news section of the site, announcing news withing the military community including but not limited to Nellis Air Force Base and Veterans Affairs. He also helped with Mynews3.com's 2014 election coverage.

Mick worked as a high school sports stringer, covering high school sports for the Las Vegas Review-Journal.He went to an assigned high school game and keep stats and took notes on the game. After the game he would produce game stories and fill out the box score that was published in the following days newspaper, in addition to their website and NevadaPreps.com

Mick worked with a team of editors and writers via Google.Mick would work an eight hour shift on the weekends where he had open chats with my fellow TNT writers and editors and was required to keep constant communication going with them throughout the day.

As a sports writing intern for Bleacher Report Mick was assigned three topics from different sports at the beginning of each week that had deadlines attached to each of them.In addition to the three articles that were assigned at the beginning of the week, he also had an on-call day where he was giving two topics early in the morning on a set day and had until the end of that day to get both articles published.

Mick covered the Las Vegas 51's home games as a credentialed media member. He interviewed players who are stood out and were on the verge of being called up to Major League Baseball. He interviewed player like Eric Thames, Brett Lawrie and among a few other players who were called up to the MLB. In addition to interviewing the players, he interviewed coaches and mangers, getting their insight on the player he wrote about that day.

Mick wrote for a website part of the Scout.com network affiliated with CBS Sports, as a beat reporter covering the Las Vegas 51s—the one time Toronto Bluejays Triple-A team New York Mets Triple-A team.As the beat reporter Mick would attend games and have a player predetermined to interview beforehand, to which he would write a 700 word feature on afterwards.He also conducted phone interviews with players who were selected by the Blue Jays/Mets organizations in the Major League Baseball Draft and created Q&A articles for the website from those interviews.

Mick was the sports writer for the Collegiate Review—the school paper of the College of Southern Nevada, a school with over 40,000 students. Mick wrote about their baseball team as well as intermural sports at the school.
