Michael Arthur has over 18 years experience in the IT industry, primarily in the Retail domain.Michael has spent the last 7 years working as an Enterprise Architect at David Jones and Country Road Group working on various strategic intiatives as well as ensuring that our existing systems are healthy and maintained well. Michael enjoys sharing his knowledge with anyone that will listen to ensure that everyone is able to work independently and he enjoys working closely with the business partners to ensure that we deliver what they are after with as little tactical solutions as possible.Prior to working at David Jones, Michael has been involved in 18 separate Oracle Retail projects in varying capacities including integration lead, batch setup, ReSA SME, offsite development lead, data conversion, onsite/offsite development and knowledge transfer. For 3 of those projects he was involved in the full life cycle of the implementation from the initial design workshops right up to post production support. Michael prides himself on his mentoring skills and knowledge transfer, ensuring the client is left in the best possible place post-project.Michael has a broad knowledge of Oracle Retail/Retek, working with product versions 7, 9, 10, 11, 12 and 13. Michael is a very versatile and capable consultant, with an engaging manner, a strong work ethic and a natural disposition towards quality outcomes. Each project Michael has been involved in has been a success, and these successes owe much to Michael's knowledge of the technologies employed by Oracle Retail and supporting applications, the Oracle Retail data model as well as Michael's skills and experience with delivering solutions across a broad spectrum of Oracle Retail applications.Michael has been involved in many successful go-lives where his analytical, methodical approach to problem solving, and his calm nature ensure that when issues arise, they are solved quickly and efficiently with little or no impact to the overall process.
