Oversee Day Program Kitchen and Food Pantry Operations

I am a queer artist, musician, sound collaborator and dancer. I spent my earlier years in Portland creating music as the drag character Cabiria Jones, in the bands caught in candy and later CJ & The Dolls. From 2004-2013, I have contributed to Portland’s TBA festival, toured Europe & the United Statesmultiple times and later with Portland artists Carla Rossi, The Pepper Pepper & Jen Hackworth, I contributed to Portland’s Risk/Reward and Dance+.In recent years, I have provided sound and stage support for The Pepper Pepper’s productions, including Diva Practice: Duet and Solo. I also contribute as a dancer and music producer for Weighted Bodies, a fat forward dance troupe. Currently I cohost, produce and edit “What The Q,” apodcast exploring queer culture by inviting queer identified guests to have open discussions about the queer identity. Moving forward I hope to collaborate more with queer, fat and femme artists, specifically in the areas of music, dance, comedy, drag & outreach.

Bad Habit Room is a private event space and weekend brunch kitchen. The venue also co-hosts annual beer festivals like IIPA Fest and Farmhouse & Wild Ale Fest with sister tavern, Saraveza. The owner and I opened the doors in 2011 with no name, no systems in place and no staff. Together we have a business to which I am proud to say I have contributed. Bad Habit Room has arrived as a successful local business, which I continue to support.

Saraveza is a bottle shop and tavern specializing in craft beer and fine food. The shop features over 200 bottles and 10 rotating draughts. Established in 2008, Saraveza has quickly become a destination for craft beer fans around the world while maintaining its appeal as a neighborhood spot.I am part of the original crew who, together with owner Sarah Pederson, opened the doors to Saraveza in 2008. I am thrilled to watch it grow and continue to claim its space in the craft beer community.

Pix Patisserie is a local dessert destination, where traditional French pasty meets American innovation. Pix also offers coffee drinks and a fine selection of wines, liqueurs and other libations.

Bar Pastiche was a small tapas bar in the southeast Hawthorne business district. Navarre’s John Taboada and Pix Patisserie’s Cheryl Wakerhauser conceived and created the shop to give Portland an authentic tapas experience. Guest could stand at the bar, get a half glass of wine, 3 - 5 delectable Navarre inspired nibbles and finish it off with an espresso and mini version of Pix’s specialty confections.

Il Fornaio is a restaurant and bakery specializing in authentic Italian breads and features monthly Regional menus. Now based in California, Il Fornaio first established itself as a baking school in Italy and opened its first restaurant in the states in 1972. Il Fornaio's mission is to provide guests with the most authentic Italian experience outside of Italy.
