Mickey Thompson has had a dynamic career in then the legal profession since 1977. She has been a personal injury and medical malpractice paralegal for William F. Nelson of Baumgartner, Nelson & Wagner, PLLC, since 1995. She enjoys investigation, negotiation, trial preparation, and being a strong advocate for the clients that she serves.She was the co-chair to the Washington State Association of Justice’s Legal Staff Section for two years after it was re-established in 2008. With her foresight and direction, the Legal Staff Section has continued to grow and provides invaluable support for the paralegal community. She has actively helped coordinate and participated in phone banks for several initiatives and referendums, has been a speaker at several continuing legal education seminars for the Washington State Association for Justice and the Clark County Bar Association. She is also a member of the Oregon Trial Lawyers Association.Mickey has been an adjunct professor at Clark College, teaching paralegal courses since 1998. She was Chairperson and Vice Chairperson of the Paralegal Advisory Committee and Vice Chairperson to the Paralegal Faculty Committee for Clark College, and continues to service on both committees. She was the Advisor to Clark College Law Club from 2011 - 2014, and was a valuable player in coordinating the Washington State Supreme Court holding session at Clark College in May 2014. Mickey was honored with Clark College’s Exceptional Faculty Award in 2013.
