As a stylist and salon owner I’ve created images and art for calendars and advertising campaigns along with providing educational and traveling opportunities.
Incorporated in 1999 as Mickeys Hair Systems, a Paul Mitchell Signature salon, employing as many as six stylists, massage therapists, and assistants. In 2003, I transitioned to a single-person salon, emphasizing use of green, certified organic products. As a business owner I stay up to date on current markets and trends to capitalize on emerging opportunities.
Traveled extensively throughout North America as Platform Artist for national and international shows. Within the first two years I was promoted to Senior Associate which allowed me the opportunity to assist in the launch of Paul Mitchell “the color”. I was also utilized as a “Train the Trainer” color educator and motivational speaker with JPMS National Educator.
I worked to train educators in the latest trends and products. Through this experience I ensured staff and educators were proficient in techniques and organized many educational opportunities for visiting instructors.
