About Mick Hall

Mick has 32 years' experience as a pragmatic environmental specialist and ecologist, specialising in identifying risks and delivering environmental, social, and health and safety (ESHS) standards for responsible lending through the planning and implementation of projects. He has a deep understanding of the interface between ESHS requirements and the procurement process, and how to use this to drive the intended ESHS performance. His experiences as a client representative, lenders’ technical advisor, lenders’ ESHS monitor, independent environmental and social consultant, clerk of works, project manager and contractor’s environmental specialist have provided him with a specialist knowledge of effective contract management. Mick is sought to assist borrowers, agencies and projects establish the systems, processes and procedures for managing ESHS risks, especially during project implementation. Although he has worked on all projects in all sectors, he has a particular expertise and passion for large scale infrastructure projects, especially highway, rail and hydropower projects.
