She, like their parents, wants her high school students to feel confident in their ability to advocate for what they want in life through their voice and writings.  This becomes especially important in the college application process. Primarily teaching juniors and seniors in the second half of her career, Micki has helped hundreds of students write successful college essays, prepare for interviews, narrow down appropriate and well-suited colleges, cultivate and polish portfolios and auditions for performing arts students, prepare for SAT and AP exams, and she has comprehensively provided guidance and support tailored to each student’s individual needs.Her “kiddos” have gone on to study at colleges and universities such as: Stanford University, Cornell University, Brown University, Rutgers University, Lafayette College, Lehigh University, University of Pennsylvania, and Brandeis University, to name just a few.  Micki has an AB in English from small, private, liberal arts powerhouse Lafayette College and an MA in English from U.S. World and News ranked #9 in the country Middlebury College. She is a NJ State Certified Teacher of English and Speech Communications in Drama.
