I am project manager under the Horizon Europe funded, TETTRIs (Transforming European Taxonomy through Training, Research and Innovations). With TETTRIs, 17 institutions in 11 countries are working towards a transformative change in the field of taxonomy. #Taxonomy as an important tool for understanding the drivers and impact of #biodiversity decline. My role in the project is to work with scientific staff in the museum as well as with our European partners to utilize citizen science methods to help transfer knowledge and expertise to the public. I am also responsible for the strategy for communicating and implementing the results of the TETTRIs project as a whole. My role is to inspire interest in science in young people (14 - 18 year olds). I do this by:- Running fun experiments in our lab or on the Science Bus.- Organising informal events or talks.- Using art as a gateway into the STEM subjects.- Creating engaging online videos. I was recruited to increase the popularity the venue. I achieved this by managing the brand, the social media pages, and the press releases. I created new, fun events that attract new target groups to the house. I led the PR team and curated an inclusive and diverse events programme.

• I managed social media outlets with 1/4 million followers.• Arranged events and conferences abroad where I presented the university to prospective students. I wrote and published a 250 page International Student guide.• I cast and assisted the production of high level promotional videos.• I created and edited webpages using Sitecore.• I identified problems, implemented solutions and improved the international student intake.

My ability to persuade is demonstrated through this job. By contacting Financial Directors of businesses across Europe and America, I gathered banking information so as to improve services provided. Asking busy people to share sensitive information over the phone could be understandably a challenge, but I had one of the highest success rates on our office floor.
