I am responsible for web based technologies within the company.These are mainly MS based, specialising in Content Management Systems and Sharepoint technologies. I was lead technical officer responsible for the design and implementation of a 5000+ user intranet based upon sharepoint technologies.My day to day role involves ensuring efficient running of the council's Web functions, whilst being a resource for any enquiries involvong web technology. As you will understand this is a varied and demanding role, I relish that challenge.I was also lead technical officer on the project to ensure the Council's web presence complied with the ODPM guidelines, this ignited my interest in web enablement and ensuring that social exclusion does not become an issue for Local Authorities.I have been instrumental in setting up a student placement scheme for undergraduates and for mentoring our developers to ensure they reach their full potential within the industry.I am responsible for advancing the technical roadmap whilst assisting in the development of technical policies and procedures.
