Raf Cosford - Number 1 Radio School

Training Manager responsible for training material and resources. Line management of 26 Military and MOD Civil Service instructors delivering RAF Cyberspace Profession foundation training and specialist pre-employment training to Tri-Service personnel detached on Operations in support of deployed IS Networks.

Falkland Islands

Temporary detachment to Falkland Islands, employed in the Site Coordination Installation Design Authority (SCIDA) role as the Configuration Manager. I was responsible for ensuring compliance of all existing and planned CIS installations, in line with statutory requirements and HMG Security Framework, across all defence sites in the South Atlantic domain. I also held line manager responsibility for 15 Tri Service personnel and mentored 3 Junior RAF Eng (CE) and Army Royal Signals Officers.

Mod Corsham - Defence Digital Global Operations Security Control Centre

Infrastructure Custodian and Project Manager responsible for the coordination and delivery of information systems, network equipment and ICT infrastructure into the MOD Global Operations Security Control Centre (GOSCC); providing Network Operations Centre (NOC) and Security Operations Centre (SOC) functions in support of UK and worldwide military networks and operations. Acting as the Site Co-ordination Installation Design Authority (SCIDA) manager, safeguarding all existing and new Secure ICT installations. Managing a team of technicians providing onsite technical support.

Falkland Islands

Temporary detachment to Falkland Islands, employed as the Control Reporting Centre (CRC) Engineering Supervisor. Management of 3 engineering shifts providing 24/7 support, responsible for the provision and maintenance of the Falkland Islands Air Operations Command and Control Systems. As well as coordinating scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks for the main site, I acted as the engineering focal point for three remote radar heads, ensuring rapid and efficient response to unplanned engineering matters with external defence partners such as BAE and AirBus.

Mod Corsham - Defence Digital Joint Cyber Unit

Network analyst monitoring operational threat and vulnerability exploration and exploitation of all MOD and industry partners networks. Process Cyber Threat Intelligence Reporting and conduct active heuristics investigations to identify and verify threats. Provide actionable intelligence, advice and direction to other Cyber Security Operations Centres (CSOCs) during operational cyber incidents and events. Liaise with other Security Operating Centres (SOCs) within the Defence and Industry Partners, to deliver a co-ordinated Cyber-Defence capability.

Defence Instructor delivering technical training to apprentice RAF ICT Technicians and Communications Electronic Engineering Officers. Manage all students under my instruction ensuring all training and welfare matters were dealt with correctly. Plan, develop and deliver new training material to ensure training delivered remained fit for purpose and aligned to Defence requirements. Subjects delivered included, Satellite Communications, Deployed Cisco Networks, Line of Sight (LoS) and Beyond Line of Sight (BLoS) Radio Networks, Engineering Maintenance and Management Practices.

Falkland Islands

Temporary detachment to Falkland Islands, employed as the Service Desk Supervisor. Providing support for all in theatre IT and telecommunication assets, as the Service desk supervisor I was responsible for the allocation and resolution of all tasks raised through the Help Desk, effective management of the Service Desk and the appropriate prioritising of faults to meet Service Level Agreement Key Performance Indicators. For IT issues, I also provided comprehensive first line support.

90 Signals Unit - Tactical Communications Wing

Field Engineer Team Leader responsible for the timely and efficient installation, maintenance and recovery of a broad range of radio, satellite and telecommunication systems. Routine and short notice deployments to forward outposts in support of military and humanitarian missions including Europe, Middle east and Afghanistan.

90 Signals Unit - Tactical Communication Wing

Third line support technician responsible for support and fault rectification on a wide variety of specialist to type Satellite, Voice and Data communications equipment. When required, deploy on specialist tasks where level 3 assistance was required.
