CurrentResponsible for implementing the Company's policies and Integrated Management System (IMS), motivating the management, office staff and crews in the observation of such policies.Act as Deputy Designated Person Ashore.Act as Deputy Company Security Officer.Responsible for the monitoring of all non-conformances, accidents, incidents, near misses and any other IMS performance reports and ensuring that they are effectively investigated, analysed and closed out within agreed timelines.Responsible for ensuring that Corrective Action Plans are promptly provided to flag and class (as applicable) and that such plans are effectively closed within three months of audit or investigation.Responsible for ensuring that safety systems onboard, such as safety committees, inspections and permit-to-work systems are adequate to meet their requirements but are not so complicated as to make them difficult to comply with.Ensure that office/vessel Internal Audits and conducted timeously and that all Corrective Action Plans are promptly provided by the office/vessel to the HSE Dept (as applicable) and that such plans are effectively closed within three months of audit or investigation.Responsible for ensuring that safety systems onboard, such as safety committees, inspections and permit-to-work systems are adequate to meet their requirements but are not so complicated as to make them difficult to comply with.Make arrangements for the necessary training, including onboard training, of all personnel under their control in the safe working procedures relevant to their activities. Ensure that all staff onboard the vessels have under gone the necessary in-house HSE training. Responsible for the ensuring that at least one office – ship emergency response plan is completed per annum per vessel.Responsible for ensuring management and master reviews are scheduled and completed on time.
