As a Regional Manager for Spain I was the principal contact for over 170 businesses helping them with business development seminars for the owners and managers focussing on improving their marketing and eLearning strategies, sales, SEO, eBusiness solutions and customer service and to introduce and promote new products and training programs.As an Instructor Examiner the primarily responsibilities are the organisation and running of the exams for prospective instructor candidates. During this time I have worked in 15 different countries and with a great variety of languages and cultures. As a training specialist I have run updates and seminars for our instructor trainers, instructors and professional members both live and online via frequent webinars. I have conducted a great number of crossover training programs for instructor trainers, instructors and dive centres that have decided to cross over to PADI from other diver training organisations. I have also been responsible for risk management and quality control seminars for both individual members and dive centres that required quality management retraining as a result of incidents or accidents. I have been actively involved in several projects regarding the design, implementation and promotion of new training programs and materials, organising and presenting events at trade shows, for various dive centres and in conjunction with equipment manufacturers and other industry partners. Through Emergency First Response, a corporate affiliate of PADI, I have also run programs teaching new instructor trainers how to organise promote and conduct their CPR, defibrillation and first aid courses.I have had several articles about training and development published both online and in print. For over 15 years I have been involved in the translating and proofreading of PADI materials; not only manuals, videos, presentations etc. but also marketing and communication articles for our professional membership.
