Michael is a Venture Partner, Technical Expert and Information Security Professional while concurrently serving as the Quantum Security Lead & Co-opted Committee Member with the Association of Information Security Professional (AiSP), EXCO of EdTech with SGTech and Chairman of Enterprise Blockchain Sub-Committee with the Blockchain Association Singapore (BAS). His previous roles include CEO at Rajah & Tann Technologies; Head of Cyber Forensics at Rajah & Tann Cybersecurity; Director at Deloitte (Cyber Forensics); Chairman of Cyber Risk Sub-Committee with Singapore Fintech Association (SFA) and Founding President of High Technology Crime Investigation Association (Singapore Chapter) among others. Michael's area of expertise includes Digital Investigation, Cybersecurity, Digital Forensics, Electronic Discovery, Technology Risk Management, Crypto Intelligence, Data Breach & Cyber Incident Response and in recent years Blockchain and Quantum Security. In 2017, he founded AI-driven legal tech startup LegalComet, which was successfully exited through an acquisition by Rajah & Tann Technologies (wholly owned subsidiary of a leading law firm in Asia). Michael is an active participant in the local tech start-up scene and was identified by Asia Law Portal as one of the 30 people to watch in Asia in the business of law. Michael was also recognized by the Cyber Security Agency of Singapore (CSA) in 2022 as a Technical Expert for his contribution to the cybersecurity industry call for innovation.Michael worked directly with distinguished professors and data scientists from the National University of Singapore during his term as a researcher in the field of Data-Intensive Applications and Analysis and is currently an Affiliate Faculty member of SMU Academy. He is also a published co-author of the book, A practical guide to E-Discovery in Asia. Michael graduated with a Master of Science in Information Systems from the London School of Economics and is based in Singapore.
