Since childhood I have taken an interest in hardware components and programming of various devices from pocket calculators to PCs, and with the breakthrough of the Internet that interest extended to network protocols and information security. Therefore it was only natural that I chose to study mathematics and computer science to give me a theoretical background in addition to the more practical approach I had to the subject in my spare time.I hold a PhD in computer science from the University of Aarhus where I did research with a main focus on cryptographic protocols, privacy enhancing technologies and digital signatures. Part of this research was performed at IBM Research in Zürich.My biggest interests lie within the areas of practical IT security and cryptography, and I have over the years also spent some time on teaching and giving lectures on those subjects. I'm currently an external examinor at the university for various exams, master thesis' and PhD reports.I have previously worked as a system administrator, done penetration testing and security analysis, but today I'm primarily involved with cryptography, software development and security engineering tasks.This text is not updated regularly, so just ask if you have more specific questions about me or what I do :)
