As a member of the governing body I supported the school's development and strategic objectives. The governors work closely with the school's leadership team to build links with the community and provide strategic direction.I held the Chair role for three years during my tenure and led the board through a process of transformation and modernisation, bringing practices more in line with current guidance from the Department for Education, National Governors Association and others.I was most proud of the successful Ofsted result (the school remained "Good"), which praised the board for its strong Governance. This was a part-time volunteering role.

Visit www.skegs.net to view the forecast for your area.I birthed the product out of a need that I have as a sailor for a comprehensive forecast that meets the needs of the water sports leisure market. My involvement has ranged from researching the market, designing the product, building testing and implementing it, to actively marketing it, servicing customers and monitoring product performance metrics. The development has followed an iterative evolutionary approach using Agile Kanban methods.The product is built using J2E Java and MySQL along with JSP, HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript. It runs on a series of Linux cloud servers hosted on AWS using JBoss AS.
