After years of experience as a lawyer, partner and leadership expert, I created The Legal Leadership Project to bridge the skills gap between lawyer and leader. My consultancy role involves providing skill and character-based training solutions for both personal and professional effectiveness and growth.

My role as the Director of People and Culture is focused on enhancing the leadership capabilities within Rowland, a leading communication, digital, and creative agency. In this role I will be helping the leaders of Rowland, create the right team environment to engage, motivate and inspire their people.

I was an integral part of the Leadership Team, reporting directly to the Head of People and Culture. My responsibilities included strategic management advice on induction, technical training, leadership development, and business coaching. I led a team of 10 L&D professionals specialising in learning design, facilitation, technical training, and knowledge management. I also coached and mentored business leaders and supported them to make decisions around employee performance, recruitment and selection, engagement and talent management.In my capacity as Lead Facilitator, I gained extensive experience conducting a variety of training sessions, including induction training, technical training, and workshops on Franklin Covey’s 7 Habits for Highly Effective People, Leader Implementation program, Belbin Team Roles, and Minessence personal values.Key Leadership Development & Facilitation Programs• Senior Leadership Program: Tailored sessions focusing on performance coaching, personal branding, cultural leadership, values alignment, and business development strategies.• Specialist Lawyer Program: Effective advocacy, evidence gathering, and legal strategy.• System Training: CRM, Case Management, and Finance systems.• Sales and Client Interaction: Sales techniques and client interviewing skills.• Legal Skills Training: Legal drafting, strategic planning, negotiation, and alternative dispute resolution.

I was proud to develop and lead the green field office of Shine Lawyers on the Gold Coast, building the legal practice to a profitable leading law firm. Key responsibilities include:• Led and supervised a diverse team of 20 lawyers, paralegals and administration staff.• Developed legal processes and policies, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and high-quality service delivery.• Provided legal advice in all aspects of client matters.• Negotiated settlements on behalf of clients.• Prepared and attended settlement conferences, mediations and trials

I worked with key stakeholders to complete software needs analysis and designed database programs tailored to these needs. My responsibilities included project management, system design, system coding and testing and proposal writing.
