De kinderen op deze school komen uit alle hoeken van de wereld. Vaak omdat ouders hier komen werken en/of het plan hebben zich te vestigen in Nederland. Doel van de school is om ieder kind binnen een jaar tijd een overstap te laten maken naar het reguliere basisonderwijs. Het is een mooie taak om de nieuwe wereld samen met de kinderen te ontsluiten.

Ik heb inburgeraars van uiteenlopende achtergrond, cultuur en nivo les gegeven. Een belangrijk aandachtspunt is geweest: spreken. Het spreken is een eerste stap naar het leggen van contacten en het verwerven van een plaats in de Nederlandse samenleving. Ik heb daarnaast gebruik gemaakt van bestaande methodes: Taalcompleet, VIA, Diglin, Fatima Tas en Water bij de melk. Ook heb ik zelf materiaal ontwikkeld.

Vluchtelingenwerk, werkgevers, opleiders en de lokale overheid werken samenin het project Vluchtelingen Investeren in Participeren (VIP). 1500 Vluchtelingenworden voorbereid op werk, barrieres die er nu zijn voor vluchtelingen wordenverminderd. Alle partijen nemen hierin hun verantwoordelijkheid. Ik zal in de rol van opleider mede verantwoordelijk zijn voor het slagen van ditproject.

Door de expertise van de ManpowerGroup en VluchtelingenWerk te combineren, kunnen vluchtelingen hun talenten beter ontwikkelen en krijgen zij meer perspectief op werk. Voor het huidige project worden twintig vluchtelingen omgeschoold tot zelfstandig tolk. Ik heb de herkansers gedurende twee maanden opgeleid/begeleid naar het examen. The main task for me is to give the students an environment to practice as much a possible their new language. The focus of the course is the spoken word. This can support them to enlarge their social life in the Netherlands. Another group is called 'Talent uit Isolement'. They are all woman who attending this special course. Aim is to guide them on their way to work. My job is to learn the woman Word, Excell and Powerpoint.

Ignorance is expensive.One of the milestones while I was in Tanzania, was the Graduation of Zeno. He passed his exams as an accountant successfully.

Development of a method to give migrant woman, who lost perspective, new motivation in daily life. We do this by guiding them in the (new) society, learn them to now the social map, and give them courses when necessary. The idea is 'teach the teacher' concept. After a couple of years the woman are selfsufficent. The woman are mainly from the area Southeast of Amsterdam.

Children between 6-10 year arrive from all over the world. I prepared them for regular schools. Learning Dutch language and their new home Holland.

The art of teaching is to customize the lessons and material. That is not always easy with classes with 30 or more pupils. To reach this aim it is important to teach the students to become independent, self-thinking individuals, without forgetting that they are part of a community. I as a teacher have to make sure that the preconditions are good: a safe environment and clear agreements.

FlexService is a software developer. I was the filth employee of the company. I worked as an implementation manager and project manager in a governmental environment. One of the projects was an awareness campaign for around 5000 employees: how to get along with digital information.After two years I could start with constructing the training department: write training material, train the trainers, organise the training, give courses for clients who are going to use the software.

I worked as a teacher economics and administration. Besides that I initiated a bureau for internship. 300 students and 30 jobcoaches were supported by this office. .

Naast het lesgeven ben ik lange tijd lid geweest van de werkgroep vrouwemancipatie en heb zitting genomen in de MR.
