People Operations ManagerTonsser Nov 2017 - Aug 2018Copenhagen Area, Capital Region, DenmarkI am driven by living a life that is full, I advocate for balance and was fascinated by the freedom and liberalities that Scandinavia has to offer. Their work cultures are known for putting people first. It was important for me to understand how the world’s utopian cultures & communities live, work and thrive.Tonsser opened my eyes to the world of Start-ups. Fast-paced, energetic work environments with highly driven, passionate individuals. My can-do , “no job is to big or too small” attitude lent itself well to this environment and my year at this Danish Tech Start-up taught me about the importance of People & Culture in the work place. -
Mtv Presentation SchedulerViacom International Media Networks Dec 2015 - Nov 2017Amsterdam Area, NetherlandsIt was important to me to gain international experience early on in my career. I moved to Amsterdam from South Africa and had the opportunity to work in a corporate environment with over 24 nationalities and established global brands.Working on a range of different channels for the MTV Youth & Music team across Europe, Asia, Australia and Africa, I learnt all about the strengths and challenges that come with working alongside different cultures. Day to day tasks included building, completing and delivering daily transmission schedules for relevant MTV channels. Ensuring that all promos and advertisements were placed to create maximum impact for the viewer and complied with restrictions, whilst all programs started at the advertised times. After 5 months I started to work solely on the African brand, which included MTV Africa and MTV Base South Africa and Rest of Africa. This allowed me to focus all energy here and really take on a leadership role when it came to delivery of content, brand liaison and any on-air issues. -
