MIMOA was shut down in 2019.

A residents' initiative for a shared garden in the Lloyd district in RotterdamThe inhabitants of the Lloydkwartier united and started a joint initiative to create a shared garden on a wasteland of 7,000m2. The garden was officially opened in 2012 and consists of a vegetable garden, greenhouse, flower garden, orchard and playground for children. Tuin op de Pier has won several awards and nominations and has been praised locally and nationally for promoting social cohesion, the design and improving the district.

Commissioned by Platform31, Mieke invented Huis vol Energie and managed the platform since the launch in April 2012. In 4 years she created an online platform, built up a dedicated national community, and organized offline meetings and events.
