As I worked as a teaching assistant at university level, I got to not only use my language skills but also got training in communication with students, and help identify their learning difficulties related to the lesson. I also took time out to do study related counseling, trying to help my students plan their exchange stays in Japan.

Taking over this position at a youth school, I was faced with several different challenges. Besides structuring my own semester plan for my students, I also had to manufacture my own teaching material in Danish, utilizing both my Japanese and English skills for translating.
