Got promoted in April 2024 to Senior or Chief Geotechnical Engineer, the job desk mostly is to do analysis compared to fieldwork, the job details include:• Analyze the caving advancement strategy to minimize the seismicity and acceleration of ground response to ensure the operation is safe and meets the target• Conduct preparation, analysis, and evaluation of hydrofracking activity in a hard rock mine to get better rock mass, reduce seismicity, and reduce stress• Review undercutting and caving plan strategy to get optimal results of ground stability• Draw maintenance cave strategies such as cave angle, draw angle, uniformity index, and HOD• Cave monitoring drilling project to monitor cave propagation• Assist with the training and mentoring of junior geotechnical engineers to enhance site-based geotechnical skills • Perform Geotechnical analysis to Geotechnical Manager and higher level• Ensure compliance, review, and update the Caving Management Plan (CMP) and Ground Control Management Plan (GCMP)• Conduct and lead technical meetings with geologists and Stakeholders concerning critical mining development• Evaluate and modify ground support design for new development areas to ensure the lifetime stability of the opening• Provide details on the geotechnical assessment related to mine design and scheduling• Involvement in Geotechnical audits held by shareholders• Analyze seismic monitoring data to indicate ground response and seismic-related hazards to ensure the safety of underground facilities, access, and production areas• Well-coordinated with engineering and operations teams on geotechnical concerns during the mining process• Complete analysis designs through empirical and numerical techniques to advise mine planning and production engineers• Ensure personal compliance with company safety requirements and assist in developing and implementing improved work practices to reduce the risk of injury and improve productivity

I worked as an underground geotechnical engineer for one of the deep mines at PT Freeport Indonesia, known as the DMLZ mine with its unique environment as a massive lithology-highly stressed mine. I am an expert in deep and hard rock caving mines and have success stories about mitigating rockburst hazards based on preventive support maintenance (PSM) in the DMLZ mine. I have been involved in various stages, from the mine development, infrastructure, and production footprint establishment. Part of the team that compiles and reviews the ground control management plan and caving management plan. I had to deal with severe drift damage caused by excessive pillar loading, learn the ground response of hard rock to the caving process, and review ground support performance while holding extremely high abutment stress during cave advancement. Responsible for ensuring cave monitoring plans and systems, including open-hole camera surveys, time-domain reflectometry (TDR), and Elexon, are well executed to provide an appropriate caving strategy, minimize production interruptions, and improve safety until production activities. I am also extensively involved in reviewing cave propagation using all cave monitoring data to arrive at a reliable caving rate and healthy cave conditions, as well as the role of hydrofracking activity including preparing, analyzing, and evaluating degrading the rock mass in terms of caving sustainability. My accomplished projects were the updated ground support tools utilizing the displacement-base method, preventive support maintenance (PSM) in mitigating a rockburst hazard (presented in RaSiM10 Tucson), creating the typical ground support recommendation for DMLZ PB4, and the cave (DMLZ) breakthrough to another mine (DOZ), resulting in an extensive hazard to mitigate in terms of ground stability. While ongoing projects include expanding the mine beyond its current production footprint and promoting the cave while mitigating excessively induced stress.

Analyzing primary minerals and altered minerals in megascopic and petrographyc method, learning the science of mineral deposits based on geological science, and assisting junior students in all about minerals in megascopic and petrographyc and teaching the science of mineral deposits. The material taught in the lab is:Understanding of ore & industrial minerals.Alteration minerals including genesis of mineral deposits etc.Hydrothermal deposits, residual deposits, and placer deposits.How to do the mapping in hydrothermal deposits and resource estimation.

Become a Exploration Geologist on greisen deposit. Activities undertaken included geological mapping related identifying lithology, alteration minerals, ore minerals, soil sampling and structural geology identified. The final result is tin concentration target devide by geological map, alteration map, weathering zone map, structural geology map and mineralization map.
