Co-Founder
CurrentAs a co-founder and core business development lead of a successful social enterprise, I spearheaded a project called "Sorbojoya" in rural Gaibandha in 2013. Initially, we provided financial aid to low-income students, but after 18 months, we realized that it was not effective since families prioritized their children's earning over education. To address this, we shifted our focus to capacity building for non-earning family members, particularly housewives. We trained them in income-generating activities, starting with cattle rearing projects, and provided health and strategic support.Since then, our project has grown from supporting five families in 2015 to 750 beneficiaries today. Our social business model involves investing in cattle (4-12 per year) for families, providing aid, and buying back with profit. This approach has transformed the lives of thousands of families in Gaibandha and Lalmonirhat. Along with my partners Mr. Palash and Mr. Minhaz, I co-founded the enterprise, with Mr. Palash managing the admin and finance team, and Mr. Minhaz overseeing field operations and purchasing. My role as the core business development lead involves driving strategic growth and development for the project.
