I am a Colombian designer centered on vision, strategy, and tactics to foster ecosocial transitions. My work fuses the power of design and technology to envision alternatives to development (postdevelopment) and create transformative solutions today.My design approach includes sustainable business strategy, strategic foresight, systems thinking, transition design, and (more recently) permaculture design. My 16+ years of experience in design consultancy give me a holistic understanding of innovation exercises on multiple fronts, including strategic design, business design, service design, UX design, and design research.Thanks to this, I enjoy facing complex and ambiguous challenges where our solutions merge ethical considerations with creative technological applications.In 2020 our speculative design project "Natural Intelligence - The Voice of Nature" won the Futuring Peace Competition organized for United Nations' 75th anniversary.My most significant contribution to financial inclusion was recognized with an Honoree Mention as one of Fast Company's best Latinoamerican designs in 2019.With a solid commitment to sustainability and using my abilities as a multidisciplinary designer, I helped my parents get rid of our old family business: a gas station. It was the last one sold in Colombia just before the historic drop in petrol prices worldwide due to COVID-19 lockdowns. My leadership saved our family's patrimony and guaranteed a well-deserved retirement for my parents. I'm proud of it.
