Current• Demonstrate leadership through committee work & special projects, such as co-chairing the Latinx Services Committee.• Contributor to the Library Journal – writing reviews and columns • As branch manager, coordinate with facilities, security & custodial staff.• Create content as a regular contributor to the Staff Picks CPL feature as well as for the national publication Library Reads.• Provide direct & comprehensive customer & reference service, assisting with information questions, readers’ advisory, computer assistance & circulation needs.• Present continuing education trainings for CPL staff, including ASID, Best of the Best, & Genre Studies.• Present at external events, like moderating for the Library Journal, Penguin Random & MacMillan book panels. • Contribute to a positive, professional & service-oriented culture. • Develop & administer programs like the long-running & successful Adult Book Discussion Books & Brews. • Represent the library at community meetings • Address patron concerns, resolving issues in a timely and courteous manner. • Market CPL collections, programs and services.• Supervise and mentor library pages and clerical staff.• Responsible for maintaining a collection designed to meet the needs of the community. • Responsible for monthly reports & recording program attendance.• Create monthly multi-media library displays.• Support and promote new technologies. • Utilize technologies and informational databases and train others (staff & patrons) to the same level. • Develop outreach and program plans and oversee, prepare and conduct implementation for the community in collaboration with other staff. • Maintain a safe and welcoming environment for patrons and staff.• Maintain professional development through meetings, workshops, training courses, and committees. • Assist with interviewing, onboarding, and training new staff.
