About Mignon Van Halderen

Hi! I’m a partner at Reputatiegroep, a consultancy based in the Netherlands that helps organizations navigate leadership challenges—whether it’s shaping a vision for the future, strategic positioning, or telling the right stories to drive change.What I love most is working with organizations to create a meaningful future vision that blends business goals with societal themes. This often involves helping leaders clearly communicate their vision, building a strong corporate story, and creating strategies to get employees and stakeholders excited and actively on board with the direction. We work closely with board members, CEOs, and their teams, whether on the full strategy or just parts of it.Together with one of my colleagues, Brandon Martens, I wrote a book about our vision on thought leadership (in Dutch and English). I also enjoy giving guest lectures at institutions like Nyenrode University and the University of Amsterdam, and delivering in-company training sessions.Always happy to connect and exchange ideas!

    PhD dissertation: 'Organizational Identity Expressiveness and Perception Management'.Based on studies in the oil industry, my PhD thesis shows that corporate communication managers can effectively manage their identity expressions along four principles: Distinctiveness, Consistency, Sincerity and Transparency. For each principle, workable definitions are provided, including a discussion on their role, relevance and impact on stakeholders' perceptions of oil companies. Concrete guidelines are offered to integrate the principles into the corporate messaging and behavior of a company.
