Responsible for leading the inception, technical definition, and strategy of innovative security architecture and solutions across Qualcomm SoC product lines.Impact:- SoC Security Foundation: Created, established the vision, and led the system architecture definition for a unified security foundation across all Qualcomm products lines and tiers through a robust, flexible, and scalable Hardware based Root of Trust (RoT) solution. SoC security services extended by the RoT: secure manufacturing & provisioning, secure debug & test, lifecycle state management, secure fuse management, access control, key management, chip attestation, secure boot policy enforcement, IP protection, and dynamic feature management.- IoT & Chip to Cloud Security Foundation: Identified and led the strategic and technical definition of a foundational line of security services to address a critical gap in the IoT ecosystem: how to establish trust between IoT devices and cloud based IoT services at scale without the high complexity and cost of doing this in the device manufacturing environment.Chip to Cloud security services extended by solution: chip attestation, secure OTA provisioning, certificate issuance, secure registration, secure communications.- Long Term Technology Research: Conceptualized and led the definition and implementation of a Blockchain based License Exchange System Proof of Concept to assess the applicability, advantages, and viability of Blockchain technology to Qualcomm business interests. System leverages Smart Contracts to efficiently and securely settle license transactions amongst multiple participants (license supplier, license requester, devices, and potentially regulator and/or auditors) while preserving the privacy of the system participants and the license business terms.
