A pinion rack system was engineered to raise the platform. The design included ramps to give access to the platform and the rails to protect the operator of a possible accident.- Second project: Symmetric design of a station where the carbon-fiber was shaped for the lower… Show more The aim of this position was to design of jigs and tools to be used by AIRBUS in the manufacturing process of the aircraft A350.-First project: design of an electric platform to raise big and heavy trolleys. A pinion rack system was engineered to raise the platform. The design included ramps to give access to the platform and the rails to protect the operator of a possible accident.- Second project: Symmetric design of a station where the carbon-fiber was shaped for the lower part of the wing. All the symmetry pieces, devices and structures to complete the full station were engineered in short period of time by me.- Third project: this was the most challenging project and it was based in an advanced design using complex surfaces (Generative Shape Design module). The target was to develop a tool to conform the carbon-fiber. The tool structure covered all the wing span of the aircraft. The pieces were part of a chain and were designed to be 1 meter long along the 45 m wing span. There were more than 300 pieces in the entire wing and all of them were individually engineered to comply with AIRBUS requirements and standards. Show less
