Ensuring grid compliance of Vestas onshore/offshore power plants in USA & Canada. Focus on electrical studies and modelling analysis.Responsibilities:Grid Code Support- Review new wind turbine system designs for USA and Canada code compliance- Support customers and system operators on model usage and integration of the latest Vestas models- Help conduct interconnection studies for electrical compliance Technical Sales Support- Prepare formal responses to customer inquiries regarding wind turbine capabilities and dynamic modelling- Review customer's electrical studies and provide recommendations for compliance and optimizations- Liaise with Third-Party OEM on integration of their equipment with Vestas Power Plant ControllerConstruction Support- Assistance during customers/TSO/contractors' meetings- Prepare Functional Design Specification for Power Plant Controller implementation- Prepare site-specific turbine settings for grid code compliance performancePower system simulation software used: PSSE, PSCAD, TSAT, EMTP-RV

Development of electrical simulation models of wind turbines & power plant controllers. Models are key for getting the wind plant connection to the grid authorized by transmission system operators.Power system simulations and analysis with EMT and RMS tools. Focus on specific challenges observed in power networks with high penetration levels of renewable energy sources.Every day's work involves programming and testing new features in the models or supporting stakeholders through grid case analysis and bug fixing. Recurrent interaction with stakeholders from different regions, including Europe, North America and Asia-Pacific (mostly Australia).Automation mentality plays an important role in reducing time to market and achieving higher work efficiency.
